Christy's Custom Framing is a 45-year old framing business located in downtown. Gary Christy has owned the frame shop for 14 years which moved to downtown from its previous location on Mobberly Avenue. Christy recently renovated the facade of his business and plans to stay in downtown Longview. Christy commented "I love downtown. It's the heart of the city. The new street improvements and flower planters and beds really soften things. Downtown is definitely headed in the right direction and is becoming a destination for dining on Friday and Saturday nights. I'm glad to be downtown!"
Recently KSA Engineers completed façade improvements on the old Martin's Building located at 131 E. Tyler Street. KSA President, Joncie Young said that KSA has had their headquarters in downtown Longview since about 1984.
When asked why KSA chose downtown, Young replied "We like the atmosphere of downtown and contributing to it's revitalization." KSA has an office in Lufkin which is also located in their downtown district.
Willy G's Sports Pub recently opened their doors in downtown. "Its all about sports and great food" at Willy G's.
When asked why they chose to open a third business in downtown Longview, partners Will Blair and Gerald Rodriquez commented "We want to attract more people to downtown Longview. With more dining options, people will make downtown Longview a destination for entertainment."
